SSI Diagnostica Group Acquires Boulder-Based Vaccine Testing Firm InDevR
SSI Diagnostica Group, the Danish company specializing in infectious disease testing solutions, has acquired InDevR, a Boulder, Colorado-based provider of multiplexed testing technology for vaccine development and quality control. The deal strengthens SSID Group's existing position in pneumococcal vaccine testing and adds InDevR's expertise in influenza and mRNA vaccine quality control.
Founded in 2003, InDevR built its business around the VaxArray platform, a multiplexed assay system used by vaccine manufacturers to test multiple properties in a single run, alongside its CypherOne imaging system. The acquisition follows SSID Group's purchase of Gulf Coast Scientific earlier in 2025, which added urea breath testing to its diagnostics portfolio — the group's second targeted US acquisition within roughly a year. SSID Group, which traces its scientific roots to the early 1900s, now operates offices across Denmark, the United States, and China with around 600 employees.
"By combining our existing leadership in vaccine testing with InDevR's closed multiplexing system and its analytical software capabilities, we are well-positioned to address emerging needs, helping our customers scale and future-proof their vaccine pipelines," said Christina Lindved, CEO of SSI Diagnostica Group.
